Avi Wasserman is a talented and reknowned Woodturner and Spindle Maker from Israel. He creates his Art from a variety of exotic woods from around the world. Avi’s Artwork has been featured in Woodturning Galleries and Symposiums in Israel and the USA. His handspindles are breathtaking and ultra functional. Avi’s spindles also spin like a dream and are perfectly balanced. Arianie first encountered Avi’s spindles over 3 years ago at a wool festival and has been spinning and teaching spindling with his spindles ever since. In 2006 while working on an international assignment on Israel-Lebanon relations, Arianie embarked on a journey to get to know Avi and his Art on a deeper level. This year, we at Matahari Spinnery are delighted and honored to have Avi with us.
